Peacefully, on Friday June 7, 2024 at Trillium Health Partners - Mississauga at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Trish (Pat). Loving father of Keith, Larry and Lisa (Sam). Devoted Dedo of Cesia, Caitlin and Grace.
He will be greatly missed by his sister Helen, his sister-in-laws Karen (Bill) and Sonja (Stephen); his nieces and nephews, Betty (Peter), Chris (Helen), Tom (Christine), Boris (Marilyn), Kathy, Laura (Aubrey) and Corey (Joanne), all of their lovely children as well as his extended family and friends.
Andy was a GOOD man, devoted to his beautiful wife of 63 years and all of his family. He was generous to a fault, always willing to share whatever he had with anyone in need. On any given day you could find him enjoying a Timmies, reading his paper or a good book, and on occasion trying his luck at the casino.
Some of his other great loves were listening to the rain on the cottage roof while enjoying a good cigar and a shot of Metaxa; going canoeing on the rivers, and boating on the Bay with hopes of landing the big one. Sunday morning coffees with the gang was especially dear to his heart.
Andy loved being the man on the street - chatting with the neighbours and their children, and handing out pocketfuls of treats to the doggies.
There is so much more we could share about Andy, but we will leave it with one of his favourite sayings of late, which was "Well hon, things change."
But some things never change - He was a GOOD man.
Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto, on Wednesday, June 12 from 10am, followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11am. Interment at Prospect Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House or The Toronto Wildlife Centre, for those who wish to do so.
