In Celebration of

Anatoly Sokovyh

February 19, 1986 -  December 12, 2022

Anatoly "Tolik" Sokovyh, beloved son of Galina and a best friend to many, peacefully passed away at the age of 36 on December 12, 2022.

Anatoly was born in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in 1986, and immigrated together with Galina to Canada in 2004. A talented sport enthusiast and a man of many interests, Anatoly loved nothing more than his family, friends, adventure and travel.

Anatoly was a good son who cared deeply for Galina and was dedicated to taking care of her and loving her more than words can express.

Anatoly was an exceptionally good friend to many. He was always the life of the party who could entertain people for hours with stories about his adventures and travels. Tennis, kitesurfing, mountain biking, snowboarding, weight training, sprinting, just to name a few sports he was very passionate about and good at. He visited more than 20 countries and was planning to explore many more. He was hungry for life and could never miss another travel opportunity.

He will be greatly missed.

Only met Anatoly a few times during his site visit and he was always so straight forward and honest. He always wanted to help everyone out when he came to site and it was a pleasure working with him.

I am glad to have met and worked with Anatoly as he helped me developed into a better person.

Although we did not know Anatoly well, we greatly appreciated his friendly demeanor and kiteboarding enthusism.
We offer our sincere best wishes to Anatoly's family and friends and especially his mom, on his tragic passing.
