In Celebration of

Amanda Marie Ruggieri

September 19, 1984 -  January 10, 2023

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the too soon passing of beloved mother, daughter, sister, and wife – Amanda Ruggieri. Devoted mother to Bentley Francesco; treasured daughter of Frank (pre-deceased) and Ruth; loving sister to Tiana (Mike Peeling); Matthew (Caroline Kolch); cherished aunt to Henry and Eleanor; beloved wife to John Gordon (pre-deceased); sister-in-law to Jackie Gordon; and aunt to Carly. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

Amanda passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

For those who knew her, Amanda was a fun-loving, compassionate spirit whose passion was caring for others, especially her son, nieces, and nephew.

During her career she was a legal assistant. However, Amanda would say her happiest and proudest achievement in life was the day she became a mother. Amanda was granted the gift of parenthood through arguably the most difficult time in her life. Her son Bentley was her pride and joy, and by all accounts her sunshine on even the darkest of days.

The family would like to thank the staff and case workers at the Peel Children’s Aid Society for all their support and guidance of Amanda and Bentley over the last three years. Their compassion, care and dedication will be forever appreciated.

While the family grieves her loss, we are choosing to remember Amanda in a way that honors her spirit through a celebration of life. The family invites you to join them to remember Amanda.

Visitation at Turner-Porter Peel Chapel Monday, January 30th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Funeral service at Turner-Porter Peel Chapel Monday, January 30th at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Peel Children’s Aid Foundation in Amanda Ruggieri’s name would be appreciated;
