In Celebration of

Allan J. Singh

August 14, 1975 -  June 21, 2025

Allan J Singh, of Halton Hills, died suddenly at home on Saturday, June 21st, 2025, at aged 49 years, in the presence of his family. Losing Allan is incredibly difficult. He was loving, and so loved by his family. His top three roles were Dad, Husband and Son, and he was the best at all three. Allan was also a trusted friend, community member, Girls Soccer Coach and a dedicated Loblaw Companies Ltd. employee.

Allan was born in Toronto and later moved as a child to Mississauga. He was the much-loved only child of Roland and the late Loraine Singh. Allan’s enduring best friend, from childhood to adulthood, was Sandro. Allan was a gifted and accomplished student, earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto at Mississauga and built a career in Finance. What separated Allan from many Finance professionals was his ability to understand and enhance business, namely Loblaw Companies Ltd, by working with all kinds of people across, and beyond, the organization. And while his interactions may have been business-initiated, Allan cared deeply about his colleagues and listened to learn what, and who, was important in their lives. Allan always made time for conversation with colleagues and everyone else that he encountered on any given day.

Allan’s biggest accomplishment was his success as a family man. Together with his wife, Susannah, Allan celebrated 20 years of marriage in May 2025 and happily made plans for many, many more. Allan and Susannah treasured the thought of growing old together as a couple. The loves of Allan’s life were his daughters, Julia and Miranda. While Allan physically left us just days before his girls’ high school graduation ceremony in late June; Julia and Miranda felt Allan’s love, presence and pride on their special day.

Julia and Miranda love their Dad so much.

For Allan, being a family man also meant being “Dad” to rescued cats, Felix, Jelly, Midnight and Clementine and supporting related work in the community. If inclined, please consider a donation to the North Halton Kitten Rescue (www.nhkr.ca) in Allan's name as an expression of sympathy.

Allan is greatly missed by his surviving family members, including his beloved uncles, aunts, cousins and their families: Patrick, Gillian, Calvin; Derek, Tracy, Nisha, Nina; Glenn, Tessy; Johnny, Beverley, David; Douglas; Suzanne, Rachael, Rebecca; Maree, Mark; Judy, Ahia, Mya, Shirley and Sheila, as well as Susannah’s parents, sister, uncle, aunt and their families: Malcolm, Helen, Samantha, Grantley and Chrissie.

Allan was also a passionate contributor to youth throughout the community. From days of teaching elementary school students about Remembrance Day using his own activities and collections of artifacts, to years of coaching Girls Soccer, alongside Eagles coaches Stanley and Herman, as part of the Erin Mills Soccer Club; Allan brought lessons, learning and laughter to the next generation of contributors.

Allan’s life was too short, but the world is a better place because of the life that Allan shared with all of us.

Absolutely devastated at the news. He will always be remembered as a passionate, humble and one of the wittiest gentleman I've ever met. My condolences to Sue, Julia and Miranda.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Allan. We have worked together for many years and across many projects. Allan was a great colleague and an even better person. He always took the time to ask about my family and we exchanged many stories of raising teenager girls. He was always so proud when he spoke of his wife and daughters.
Rest in peace my friend

I was deeply heartbroken and shocked to hear of Allan’s passing. He was a devoted husband and a truly incredible father to Miranda and Julia. Over the years, I was always moved by the many wonderful adventures and memories your family shared.

Julia and Miranda, your dad was an exceptional man who loved you both beyond measure. You were truly blessed to have him in your lives. Hold close the beautiful moments he spent with your mom and with you—his pride and joy.

Rest peacefully, Allan.

Sue, Julia, and Miranda, my heart goes out to you. I’m so very sorry for your loss.
