Blessed with a long healthy life, Al died peacefully on November 14, 2018, in his own surroundings with his family near. Dearly loved husband of Sarah, loving father of Brenda Astri Haywood (late Thomas), loved grandfather of Sharon Haywood (Facundo Valle) and Vincent Haywood. A businessman who ran a shoe repair shop at Bloor and Ashbourne for years, called Al's, he was nicknamed the "Mayor of Bloor St.". Over the years Al was involved with Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Al was an honest man who was loyal to his friends. He will be missed! Tuesday, November 20 at 11 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 3914 Bloor St. W., Etobicoke. Interment, Mount Peace Cemetery, Cawthra Rd, Mississauga.
