I will always remember Algis from our very memorable trip to Lithuania in 1979 and our very many years working together at Lithuanian School… He always had such a warm welcoming smile that made our day whenever we would see him…Till we meet again…save us a place up there

Many years ago now, when I was a teenager, I had to do a presentation on a country, and I chose Lithuania. When my dad told Algirdas, he was so generous with his time and came over with a box full of books and props to use during my presentation. It was very thoughtful of him and I remember this gesture to this day. My parents live a few houses down and always spoke of his kindness and great sense of humour.
Sending my condolences to his wife and family.
