In Celebration of

Aldona Iwankewich

June 17, 1959 -  June 2, 2018

Iwankewich, Aldona
Surrounded by family and friends, on June 02, 2018, our lovely Aldona Stabingis Iwankewich (pre-deceased by her husband, Ray Iwankewich (05/05/09)), came to find peace, after four years of a fierce battle with cancer. Her tenacity and strength carried her through to a quiet end. We will miss her selflessness, passionate spirit, and her love of life forever.
Her legacy of giving and grace lives on through her son Adrian, her daughter and son-in-law, Diandra and Charlie, her niece and nephews, Gurston, Jared, Stefan, Tristan and Lauren, and her twin sister and life partner, Rita.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 6th from 5-9 p.m. at Turner and Porter “Neweduk-Erin Mills” Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West Mississauga, (just east of Erin Mills Prky.) Funeral Mass will be held at Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Resurrection Rd, on Thursday, June 7th at 10 a.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we ask you make a donation to the Ian Anderson House hospice, or Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Aldona’s memory. The family will be celebrating her life by wearing cheerfully coloured clothing, as Aldona would have wished, and we invite you to do the same. Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca

I’m so deeply saddened by the loss of Aldona. We grew up together and she along with Rita were my bridesmaids in my wedding 38 years ago. Even though through the years we may not have kept in touch , I always thought about her with fond memories of our childhood in Hamilton and her parents who were so welcoming and tolerant of us always being there
Dear Aldona, Rest In Peace my friend

Our sincerest condolences to your twin sister Rita who will miss the incredible bond you had, and to your daughter Dieandra and son Adrian who lost both their parents much too soon. Rest In Peace my friend. Rosanna Cavallaro and Kenneth Drabble.
