We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Albert Carmel Wismayer on December 18, 2025, at the age of 95, at St. Joseph's Health Centre in Toronto.

Loving husband of Joanna Jordan (nee Welsh). Devoted father to Stephen (Penny), Raymond, Neil, and Matthew (Esmat). Loving brother to his sister Grace.

Albert was born in Cospicua, Malta, to parents Hector and Mary. He was one of 14 siblings. Albert came to Canada in 1951 and became a citizen.

He worked at many jobs over the next 44 years to support his family. After retiring, he volunteered with several charities.

Albert grew up playing soccer in Malta and then became a lifelong Canadiens fan in his new country, at the same time learning to skate on Grenadier Pond in High Park.

He was happiest when working in the yard or sitting with his family around the dinner table, especially when dessert was served. He played guitar and loved to sing and dance.

His deep faith gave him much comfort over the years.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 3914 Bloor St W, Toronto, on Tuesday December 30, 2025, at 11:00 am.
