Alan Laurin

August 13, 1940 -  March 15, 2024





Alan was born August 13, 1940 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 15, 2024 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Alan was a loving husband to Diane Lynn Blair. He is survived by his children Marc (Jennifer), Robert (Michelle) and Lisa ( Fabio). He will be missed by his 6 grandchildren Juliette, Jane, Malakai, Violet, Gabriella and Julian.

Alan was a former Superintendent and worked for the Metropolitan Separate School Board (Toronto Catholic District) for 35 years. After retiring he enjoyed spending the winters in Florida where he was an avid golfer. He travelled the globe and enjoyed several world cruises.

Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter Butler Chapel (4933 Dundas Street W Etobicoke) on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 3-5 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kingston, Ontario. A Celebration of life will be held at later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Princess Margaret Foundation.

My sincere condolences to Lynn and Al’s children Marc, Robert. and Lisa on the passing of a very fine
Gentleman.Al and I had many great years together in the workplace and in several recreational. Sites.
W especially had many fine golfing trips to Myrtle Beach and Florida.
Al was always generous with his time and his many skills were helpful in several occasions.
I will miss a dear. Friend but grateful that his days of dealing with a severe illness are over.
