In Celebration of

Adrienne Violetta and Matteo Christopher Nesich

Nesich, Adrienne Violetta - November 28, 1974-December 26, 2022

Nesich, Matteo Christopher - February 2, 2013-December 26, 2022

In a tragic incident on December 26, 2022, our family lost two beautiful, innocent souls. Predeceased by Adrienne’s mother, Sandy McAllister, and grandparents Mac and Vi McAllister, and Lillian MacLeod. Left to grieve are Adrienne’s son Jaiden (Mateja) Corbett, father, Norman (Joyce) Hardy, older sisters Carla (Keith) Barker and Colleen Hardy, and twin sister, Alana Hardy, as well as niece Keeley (Mike), and nephews James, Graeham and Khaydan (Sarah), Matteo’s grandparents Joe (Alicia) Nesich, and Rose Nesich, uncles Mike (Charlene) and Richard (Alyssa), and cousins Emily, Veronika and Zachary. Adrienne and Matteo will also be mourned by their many friends.

Adrienne was a loyal friend and held her friendships dear. She touched so many lives with her kindness, humour, bright smile and love for life. Music was important to Adrienne. She particularly loved country music and could be seen at any country music concert dancing in her red cowboy boots. She and Jen, her friend of over 30 years, went to every NKOTB concert they could, where they would relive their teenage years. Adrienne was a hardworking and dedicated employee of Loblaws for over a decade and was always willing to go above and beyond for her colleagues and customers. Adrienne loved baking, and her famous peanut butter cup cookies were a staple at any gathering. Above all, she loved her family, and we will all miss her so very much.

Matteo was a vibrant 9-year-old who loved gaming and his Nintendo Switch. He would gladly challenge you to a game of Mario Kart and beat you easily. He loved racing around on his ATV, going to the cottage with Nonno Joe and Babcia Alicia, and spending time with his big brother and best friend Jaiden, whom he adored. Matteo loved the outdoors, and fishing with Jaiden was one of his favourite things. Matteo shared Adrienne’s love of music and could sing along to any Elvis song. And he loved his family very much.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in their memory to an organization that supports survivors of domestic violence, such as the YWCA (https://ywcacanada.ca/) or Shelter Movers (https://www.sheltermovers.com/). And above all, please keep Adrienne and Matteo’s memory alive, and hug your loved ones tight.

Dear Adrienne,
I can't believe you're gone. I can't believe we'll never again call or text with silly song lyrics, "do you remember" or talk about cravings for favourite childhood treats. I can't believe we won't call each other on November 28 to wish each other a happy birthday. I can't believe I have to move through the rest of this life without my womb-mate. I love you and will miss you more than words can express.
Love,
Your Nanny xoxo

Matteo,
Dear, sweet boy, things like this aren't supposed to happen. I was looking forward to watching you grow up, meeting your first girlfriend, seeing you achieve all things I know you would have. Last time we talked, we agreed that you and your mom would visit me in Ottawa and we'd go skating again. I will go skating this winter and think of you and how you proudly told me that you know how to skate now. I love you and will hold you in my heart always.
Love,
Aunt Nanny xo

Words cannot begin to explain how very sorry we are for what has happened to your beautiful family. Know that they both knew how much they were loved and cherished by all of you. Think of all of the wonderful times and memories that you have of them and keep them close to your heart. These two beautiful souls are now your guardian angels

Adrienne & Matteo RIP
