Adalberto passed away at Humber River Hospital on Saturday, July 30 at the age of 97.
Beloved husband of the late Irailda (2015). Loving father Graca Lopes (Manuel Jorge) and Lucia. Much loved grandfather (Avô) to Annabella (Bettencourt Lopes) Hackett (Adam), John Paul Bettencourt Oliveira, Paul George Bettencourt Lopes, Michelle (Bettencourt Lopes) Karnasiotis (Emmanuel) and great-grandfather of Mia Karnasiotis.
Adalberto was born on October 11, 1924 in Lisbon, Portugal but raised and lived in Angra Do Heroismo, Terceira, Azores until his forties when he migrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Adalberto also played an integral role and spent a life time dedicated to the Sport Clube Angrense both in Terceira and Toronto, donating his time to his community.
