In Celebration of

Aarne Tori

March 27, 1946 -  November 22, 2020

It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Aarne. Beloved husband of Lois for 44 years. Loving step-dad of Christine (Peter). Cherished grandpa of Floral. Dear brother of Anne (Bob) and uncle of Lisa (Adam), Kristen (Max). Great uncle to Elsie.

Aarne was born in Sweden to Estonian refugees Tavit and Miralda and emigrated to Canada with his family at an early age. He spent the bulk of his 27 year career on the water as a Harbour Police Officer. After amalgamation with Metro Toronto Police, Aarne took up the position of training officer at the Harbour Unit and later at Charles O. Bick College.

In addition to travelling the world with Lois, Aarne enjoyed woodworking, reading and bird watching. He was happiest at the family cottage in Prince Edward County enjoying the beauty of nature.

Due to the present restrictions Private Family Services will be held at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel. For those who wish, donations may be made to Trillium Health Partners or Global Strides Charity.
