It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom on Sunday October 2, 2022.

Loving daughter of the late Wiktor and Marta. Wife of the late John Leja. Dedicated and loving mom of Diane (Gary), Maria (Lou) and the late Teresa. Adoring grandmother “Baba” to Justin (Kassandra), Tania (Marco) Sheena (Tim) and Jordan (Marisa). Proudest greatbaba to River, Tyla, Brady, Bobbi, Cecilia, Jamie and another boy on the way. She has joined her sisters in heaven Wladaslawa, Stella, Maria and Helena. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and their families in Poland and Chicago USA.

She came to Canada from her native Poland to create a better life for her family. With hard work and dedication she did that and much more.

Always putting family first, never too tired to give us support, love and guidance.

Her strength was drawn from her faith and family. We love and miss her tremendously and forever she will live in us.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Thursday October 6, 2022 from 5-8pm. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, 161 Annette St, Toronto, on Friday October 7, 2022 at 11am. Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hill House Hospice.
