In Celebration of

Yolanda Renata Gorzynski-Krula

August 24, 1962 -  August 30, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yolanda Renata Gorzynski-Krula at the too young age of 58. She was born August 24, 1962 in Toronto to loving parents Jan and Janina Gorzynski. After graduating, she had a successful career working in the fashion industry for many years. She gave it all up (except the clothes) to marry Stefan Krula with whom she had two sons, Mitchel and Adam, who she loved and adored. She also leaves behind her loving brother, George (Susan), and sister, Ann (Victor), and many dear relatives and friends.
Yolanda was a beautiful lady but we will mainly remember her for the so many wonderful times she organized for family and friends. The annual cousins’ parties brought our families together every winter. Cottage time was always a highlight which left us all with memories forever. The summer barbeques, pool parties, time on the beach and time just enjoying the company of family enriched all our lives.
She is at peace now. We all miss her very much and will always love her. We will keep her in our memories and hearts forever.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of Yolanda’s life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Yolanda would be appreciated to the Toronto Animal Services animal rescue charity which she supported: www.toronto.ca/animalservices >donate and volunteer >donate today - or a charity of your choice. We sincerely appreciate your thoughts and prayers as you share in our sorrow at this time.

Dear Mitchell, Adam and family,
Our hearts are broken to learn of Yola’s passing. She was an enchanting, warm and beautiful lady. I first met Yola at camp in Barrie’s Bay and later reconnected with her when she married Stefan. She inspired us all with her grace and exceptional knowledge of fashion, jewelry and travel. Yola was a loving and caring mother to her boys, and adored her family. Her warmth, elegance and captivating smile are the memories we will cherish and keep forever in our hearts.
May you rest in peace dear Yola

My heart is so broken that Yola is no longer with us. Yola was such an integral part of our extended family. Her warmth, kindness, and generosity was always so apprecIated as she regularly opened up her home and heart and extended her hospitality to all of us on so very many occasions.

Thanks Yola, too, for all the good times we spent together at the cottage. Whether it was going to the beach, visiting family in Port McNicoll, gathering at a barbecue, having a garage sale, going on our annual Big Brothers home and cottage tour, working on projects for our cottages or whatever else, it was always enjoyable being with you. We developed a kindred sisterhood that I will cherish forever.

Yola, your beautiful eyes and are smile are etched into my mind forever. I miss you so very much but I know you are at peace and that we will meet up again one day.

Love, Barb

It is with Great sadness that we heard that Yola had passed away at such a young age. We remember her as such a beautiful teenager and young lady at Cawaja beach and always rushing off to work to work on her clothing design in Bloor West and Roncesvalles in Toronto. May God bless your family at this difficult time.

I have many great memories with Yola. She had so much creativity and artistic talent, such as in the jewelry she made. I also loved the stained glass pieces she did of a seagull and a sailboat for our family cottage. My favourite part of the building! She looked out for me and growing up was the "cool" relative that helped me get work experience or a new pair of jeans from the company she worked for in fashion. She would make sure the our extended family had regular catch ups and I always looked forward to a cousins party at Yola's. Last May when my Babcia passed away, Yola was one of few who came with my immediate family to lay Jessie to rest, and her being there, walking around the cemetery on that warm and sunny day, actually made the day almost enjoyable, if you can say such a thing about such a sad event. We found where other relatives were buried and remembered happy memories about them. I will continue to hold on to those happy memories of you now, Yola. I only wish there had been time to create more. Rest in peace.
