In Celebration of

Wanda Wyrzykowski

June 14, 1920 -  March 25, 2024

Wife of the late Zenon. Wanda was born in Warsaw, Poland and died in Toronto. She had a very interesting life journey. At the breakout of World War II she and Zenon fled to Romania, staying there at the Polish Embassy. Then on to Turkey, Cypress, Palestine, England and finally settled in Toronto where Zenon became the editor of “Głos Polski”. Wanda was very committed and involved in Polish communities wherever she lived but especially in Toronto. A very proud member of the Polish National Union, Federation of Polish Women, and many other charitable organizations. Wanda organized and worked tirelessly raising funds for the needy in Canada, in Poland, and for the Polish Catholic Church now located in the Ukraine. Wanda gave selflessly both financially and physically. She was very proud to be Polish, Catholic, and a responsible Canadian citizen.

Visitations at Turner & Porter (Bloor St.) on Tuesday, April 9 from 5 to 8 pm (Rosary at 5:30). Funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Church, 12 Denison Ave. on April 10 at 11:30 am. Burial in Poland.

Wanda was always charitable so please honour by donating to Copernicus Lodge where she received excellent care: foundation@copernicuslodge.com
