It is with great sadness that the Ellins-Gamey family announce Victoria’s passing at Sunnybrook Hospital. Proud mother of Sean and Kyle Gamey, beloved daughter of Donna and Grant Ellins (2007), sister and best friend of both Christy Heenan (Terry) and Robin De Nicolais (Raffaele). Vicky was the cherished aunt of Kevin, Madeleine, Sophia and Rosalie. She will be dearly missed by her extended family, friends, and caregivers, many of whom she considered dear friends and by her former colleagues at Global-TV where she was a Make-up Artist. Victoria was a beautiful, vibrant woman whose life changed dramatically when she was diagnosed with MS twenty years ago. Victoria had a joie de vivre and battled fiercely to maintain her lifestyle despite the MS but she could not overcome the injuries she received in the tragic accident that took her life. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunnybrook for the compassionate care they provided to Victoria and her family during her time there. A private cremation has been held. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Victoria’s life at the Turner & Porter “Neweduk-Erin Mills” Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (just east of Erin Mills Pkwy) on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 1-5 p.m. If desired memorial donations may be made to the MS Society or Sunnybrook Hospital.
