In Celebration of

Vicente Brena Everton Silveira

June 11, 1949 -  July 12, 2025

With deep sadness and love, the family of Vicente Brena Everton Silveira announce his peaceful passing on July 12th, 2025.

Born to his late parents, Ana Carolina Silveira and Francis Xavier Silveira, Vicente was a devoted husband to Maria Ayona, a loving father to Angela and Cassandra (Michael), and a proud grandfather. He was the cherished brother of Felicidade Lazaro (Johnny) and beloved uncle to Arlene and Carole (Alexander).

Vicente lived a life marked by integrity, curiosity, and faith. He was a lifelong lover of gardening, fishing, and music, especially jazz and classical. He also found great joy in reading, often losing himself in books that fed both his intellect and imagination. A passionate professor, Vicente was deeply committed to learning and to inspiring others through education. He was also an enthusiastic fan of tennis and soccer, rarely missing a match.

His unwavering faith and dedication to his church were guiding lights in his life. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, intellect, and enduring love.

Friends and family can visit at Turner & Porter "Peel Chapel", 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Martin of Tours Parish, 1290 McBride Ave., Mississauga, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Celebration Of Life to follow. All who knew and loved Vicente are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.

In honour of Vicente’s warm and generous spirit, flowers are warmly welcomed to bring beauty and light—just as he did throughout his life. Floral tributes may be sent directly to Turner & Porter "Peel Chapel".
