Please accept our deepest condolences in the loss of your dear mother. We are sorry that we cannot be there with you all at this time.

When my mother passed, A friend gave me the following poem which I found great comfort in. I hope it can be such a comfort for you too.

Remember Me - David Harkins
Do not shed tears when I have gone but smile instead because I have lived.
Do not shut your eyes and pray to God that I'll come back but open your eyes and see all that I have left behind.
I know your heart will be empty because you cannot see me but still I want you to be full of the love we shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live only for yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of what happened between us yesterday.
You can remember me and grieve that I have gone or you can cherish my memory and let it live on.
You can cry and lose yourself, become distraught and turn your back on the world or you can do what I want - smile, wipe away the tears, learn to love again and go on.

Dear Danika and Mirka,
We would like to share our deepest sympathies on the passing of your mom. The memories of the visits to your home in Dollard-des-Ormeaux still warm our hearts. Aunt Veronika always made us feel special and welcome in your home. We looked forward to the wonderful meals she prepared, and would always leave room for donuts. Our dad looked forward to those visits as well. He truly enjoyed spending time with your family. Hearing Aunt Veronika call him “Johnny Boy” invariably brought a smile to his face, and elicited the most sincere expression of happiness within him. Her love and caring spirit has remained with us.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.
Catherine and Andrea
