Natasha, I was so sad to hear of your dad's passing. My name is Donna and I was one of your fathers' nurses in Medical clinic. He was a sweet man-very proud and never complaining. I will remember with fondness sharing his birthday in the clinic a year ago. It was a pleasure knowing him .He will be missed. Sincerely, Donna Di Nardo

Lala Stojanovic (Sister)

Vasilije (Vasa) Stojanovic was noble, smart, sociable and loved by all who knew him. He had a technical sense and as a pupil of the school, Petar Drapsin, he himself made transistors.

He was father’s and mother’s pet and they loved him, as did all others he knew. He was sociable and had a large number of friends. He was overjoyed to always have a house full of visitors.

Vasilije was a good husband and father, attentive and protective of his mother and sisters, his older brother and many other relatives. Over all these years, he remained in contact with them through long phone conversations and through letters. He would visit all of us whenever he came to Belgrade. He provided good advice, kind words and help to everyone, even when he was gravely ill. He never complained.

Vasilije left behind wonderful children; a daughter Natasa and son Aleks with whom we sympathize with, in the pain of losing their father. He had the strength to let them know what was necessary to do after his departure (his wishes). Unfortunately, he was unable to fulfil one last wish; that he would experience the wedding of his son Alex and his fiancé Andrea.

Rest in peace, dear brother, uncle, in our hearts and thoughts you continue to live the way you have always been: good, noble, reasonable, and witty.

With love and sorrow,
Your sisters, Ljubinka (Ljuba) and Svetislava (Lala) Stojanovic and other relatives.

Memory of Kum (Godfather) Vasa

First to introduce myself, I am Mile Dimitrijevic.
We met Vasa 45 years ago, from our younger days. Since then, our friendship has grown and it was our great honour to become the godparents to his children. We baptized Natasa and Aleks.

We enjoyed his company. He was always a gentleman in every way. He loved his children and often talked about them, he loved to talk and joke with Kuma (Godmother) Elizabeth about her birthplace, Maradik. He enjoyed telling us about his sisters who loved him immensely, and he loved them too. He talked a lot about his sister Lala.

A special place in his heart was for his cats and dogs, especially Lucky. The dog and cats lived in harmony and love. Every evening Vasa went for a walk with them together.

Vasa was a hardworking man, he was a decent man. Professionally, he was very successful in his profession. Sometimes we worked in the same company and on the same projects together.

He adores cabbage rolls. When Kuma Gordana would make some, there would be no obstacle in his way, to come to our place; he was full of energy.

He was full of life, he loved life and everything that comes with life. He was always positive, he believed in a better tomorrow and even more, in the future. He did not give up on himself. He was brave all the way to the end; he fought with a wicked illness that was increasingly overwhelming him. He eventually lost his battle and was aware the end was coming.

We are happy to remember you, you remain in a good memory. Relax and take it in peace, you surely deserve it.

Kums Mile and Gordana Dimitrijevic
