Larry and family. I am so incredibly sorry for the sudden and unexpected loss of Val. She has been a wonderful friend through the years and always a comfort to talk to when times were tough. Her drive for her business and commitment to excellence was always admired by all of us. Her love and devotion to saving animals especially dogs that were needing more love and care than most people could commit to was by far the greatest gift a human being could give these less fortunate pups. Val's wonderful sense of humor would lighten up any occasion and yet she strove not to be the center of attention. Her leg and foot pictures were always interesting and as one of her friends we plan on marking her birthday by posting all of our own leg and foot pictures on Facebook. Time will eventually help you manage your grief. It never really goes away but it does get easier with patience and time, lots of time. Please take care of yourselves. Valerie is at Rainbow Bridge right now hugging all the pups that left before her.. of this I am certain. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I only knew Valerie through Facebook and it was because of our love for dogs that we connected. I will miss her posts that informed us about many things from World War 2 to Toronto's past.
It is heartbreaking to lose such a vibrant personality and only being on the verge of her life I know how saddened I am so I can only imagine what her family and close friends are feeling. All we can do for Valerie now is to make sure that Marvin and Thelma are loved and cared for like she looked after them, we all know that is what she would want.
Sending our condolences and prayers for family and friends.
Val was a warm, vibrant woman who always had us laughing on and off the paddle courts. The self-proclaimed "Polish Princess" will be deeply missed. Gone, but NEVER forgotten.
A warm spirit and contributor to our group, Valerie's warmth and humour will sadly be missed by all. Our sincere condolences to Valerie's family and friends.
