Passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Helen and loving daughter Christine. Loving father of Tony jr., Michael and Cindy, Steven and Caroline. Cherished grandfather of Chelsea (Steve), Billy (Nicole), John (Joyce), Mark, Amanda (Tyler), Nick (Samantha), Christine (Patrick), Tommy (Britany) and Michael. Dear Great Grandfather of Ben, Isabella, Jackson, Isla, Ella, Ava, Weston and Isla. Loving Brother of Irene. Predeceased by his other siblings, Rudy, Julie and Rosie. Loving Uncle of many nieces and nephews in Canada and Slovakia. Thank you to the compassionate nurses and doctors at Oakville Hospital. Your kindness will be remembered. Dad, you are now with Mom and Christine celebrating up in heaven. The wine is poured and you are playing the Accordion. Your doggsy Benny and Katie by your side. You are in our hearts and will never be forgotten. Till we meet again Dusha Moja.

Grandpa I will never forget your stories. Your singing. The way you would play your accordion. I will never forget how you would show up for me growing up and picking me up from school and even driving me to university. I’ll never forget me calling you and asking for sour soup and you would always have it and bring it over to me with fresh noodles. I’ll miss you telling the story of how I would convince you to take me to the corner store and would always get me spice girl cards. I love you and you will be missed. I know you’re up there with Grandma and auntie Christine. Shine your love and light on us. Until we meet again. I will have a glass of red this weekend in your honour ❤️

Tony, Michael, Steven and families.. I was so sorry to hear of your Dads passing. I always enjoyed seeing him and have fond memories of our family get togethers. Lots of accordion playing, singing and some dancing. He will be missed but I have no doubt he is happy to be reunited with Aunt Helen and Christine. Rest in Peace Uncle Tony. You may be gone but you will not be forgotten. Love you all Susan

Dear Vrbensky Families,

Thinking back to all the wonderful memories between our families brings so much joy. Tony Sr. was always such a kind man to me and I know he will be missed by his family. He is the last to join the foursome of long time friends and I’m sure they are all enjoying a card game of Hola up there and hopefully not causing too much commotion. Tony Jr., Michael & Cindy, Steven & Caroline, we would like to convey our most sincere condolences to you all, and to all your children and grandchildren, for your loss. Your Father was a wonderful man and his memory will live on in your hearts forever. May all the special memories help you through this difficult time of sorrow.
