In Celebration of

Tony Kisiluk

August 8, 1922 -  March 21, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Tony Kisiluk at the age of 96.
Tony (Anatole) Kisiluk, known to everyone as "Dido", 96, of Mississauga, Ontario, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, surrounded by his family.

Tony was born in Ukraine on August 8, 1922 to Maria (Rokitzky) and Very Reverend Theodore M. Kisiluk. He immigrated to Canada with his family in 1929 at the age of 7 to begin a new life in western Canada where he grew up. He joined the RCAF during World War ll. He married Norma Dewick on June 2, 1945 in New Westminster B.C. and they were married for nearly 56 years until Norma's death in 2001. They had two daughters; Cheryl Maine (and her husband Doug) and Donna Cowan. After retiring from the Forces in 1967, he worked at Noxzema as the Shipping/Receiving Manager until his second retirement in 1987.

Dido adored his grandchildren: Bobby Cowan (and his wife Elaine), Mark Cowan (and his fiance Meghan McErlain), Jacquelyn Maine (and her partner Brody Hohman) and Alexandra Bazik (and her husband Kyle), his three great grandchildren, Isla and Jack Cowan and Austin Bazik, and his granddogs, Molly, Lexie, Chase, Sophie and Milo.

He also leaves behind his beloved nephews and nieces Evan Bodnarchuk (Bernice), Sylvia Boychuk, the late Myron Bodnarchuk, Lisa Bodnarchuk, Dr. Mark Sluzar (Colleen Lawlor), Dr. Vladimir Sluzar (Val McDonald), Sandra Condinho (Paul) and many great nephews, nieces and their dogs.

He was predeceased by his sisters Lydia Bodnarchuk (Very Reverend Michael) Halia Sluzar (Dr. Roman).

Dido was passionate about automobiles, airplanes and anything mechanical he could take apart and put back together, fixing things and of course, his family and the family dogs. He loved food (eating it!) and sharing meals with his family and friends, especially at the Mandarin where he enjoyed treating his loved ones.

There will never be another Dido like him. He will be missed.

We love you Dido!

It is with great sadness that I learned of Tony's passing. I remember many happy moments spent talking to him and sharing airforce stories when we were neighbours on Hayford Crt.
My most sincere condolences to Cheryl, Donna and their families.
