<div itemprop="description"> <p> At age 85, in the early morning of Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Humber River Regional Hospital.&nbsp; Predeceased by Kay, his beloved wife of 46 years, loving father of&nbsp; Cathy (Dana), Sheila and Lindsay (Tracy); proud &ldquo;Papa&rdquo; to Caitlin (Dan), Drew (Rachel), Libby, Cameron and Sarah. Tom &ldquo;Fergie&rdquo; will be fondly remembered by extended family and friends for his Scottish charm, sharp wit and ability to captivate an audience with his words.&nbsp; His full life was highlighted by performing, world travel, dedicated service to his church and rewarding career endeavours including over 20 years with the Canadian Cancer Society.&nbsp; Special thanks to the staff at the Village of Humber Heights Retirement Residence for their support and care.&nbsp; Friends may call at the Turner &amp; Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of Jane subway, on Wednesday from 2 &ndash;4 &amp; 7 &ndash; 9 p.m.&nbsp; A celebration of Tom&rsquo;s &ldquo;Fergie&rsquo;s&rdquo; life will be held at Kingsway Lambton United Church, 85 The Kingsway (Prince Edward Dr. and The Kingsway), Etobicoke, on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 11 a.m.&nbsp; Reception to follow.&nbsp; Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian&nbsp; Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
