Theresia Roissl

October 1, 1939 -  May 14, 2022


It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Theresia (Tessy) Roissl on Saturday May 14, 2022 at the age of 82, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born October 1, 1939 in Traunfeld, Austria, she immigrated to Canada in 1966 with husband Erich and two children, Alfred and Erich to begin a new life of adventure Tessy was the beloved wife of Erich of 62 years. Loving mother to Alfred (Sandra) and Erich (Frances) and wonderful Grandmother to Alexis, Bretten, Melissa and Christopher whom she adored and her brother-in-law Alfred Roissl. Remembered by her friends and family in Austria, her sister Mary and many nieces and nephews. Tessy worked at Bayer for 40 years.

Family and friends may attend the visitation at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, on Tuesday May 24, 2022 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday May 25, 2022 at Our Lady Of Sorrows Parish, 3055 Bloor Street West, Etobicoke, ON M8X 1C6 at 11:00 am.

The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Hospice Vaughan for their care and compassion.
