Theresa Rose Antonacci passed away April 7, 2024, in Etobicoke, Ontario (Canada). Born in Toronto, she was the daughter of Enrico (1976) and Ida Carfagnini (2013) and sister to Carmela (2021), Anthony (2008) and RoseMarie. Theresa and husband Carmen (1999) adopted their beloved son, Ross in 1974. She was a devoted and loving mother, but nothing brought her more joy and pride than her granddaughter, Bianca, born in 2008. With her sense of style (known as “Aunt Fox” to nephews Rick and JJ’s friends) and unique laugh, Theresa loved being the center of attention and her energy could be felt in every room she entered. She enjoyed sitting in the sunshine in the square in Lauderdale-by-the Sea, oysters with vodka martinis, time at the casino, her traditional pop and jazz music (especially Frank Sinatra), and watching tennis. Above all, she savored time with her family and friends; her generosity and spirit made her a favorite of Ross’s friends who affectionately knew her as “Mrs. A". Theresa’s battles with serious medical issues demonstrated her strength through the years. She passed surrounded by her loving family who are grateful to the many health care professionals, family and friends who helped Theresa find comfort through her many health challenges. Predeceased by her parents, husband, brother, and sister Carmela, Theresa is survived by her son and his wife (Jenifer); granddaughter Bianca; her beloved sister RoseMarie and brotherin-law Rocky; and her many nieces and nephews. Ross and Jen would especially like to thank Auntie RoseMarie, Uncle Rocky, and cousins Don, Melissa, Rick, and JJ. To honor Theresa’s wishes, no funeral service will be held at this time. Plans for future memorial events to be held in Canada and in Pennsylvania will be announced.
