In Celebration of

Theodore Joseph Muystra

April 29, 1930 -  June 16, 2018

It is with deep sadness that the family announces Ted’s peaceful passing at home after a lengthy and valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.

Ted was the loving and beloved husband of Lorraine for twenty years. Cherished and devoted husband of Jenny (nee Buraski; d. 1992). He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Stephen Muystra (Donna), Christina Muystra (Sergio Medina) and Karen Mackay (James); grandchildren Andrew Muystra, Peter Holland and Gabriella Medina and Jennifer Mackay and Valerie Hetherington (Michael). Also adoringly remembered by his sister, Janet Marshall (David, d. 2008) and niece and nephews, Elizabeth Greenway (Ken), Anthony Marshall (Ai) and Glen Marshall (Anita) and their children, Nathan, Teerah and Eisa, and Trevor. Ted’s step-children Andrea Murphy (Jeffrey) and Matthew Cooper (Meredith Cossitt) will miss him dearly, as will his grandchildren Emma, Lauren and James Murphy.

Ted was a warm and generous person who loved to laugh and bring joy to everyone around him. We will miss his stories and kind heart. Rest in peace, Tadju/Dad/Gigi/Teddy. It was certainly a life well lived.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W. (East of the Jane subway) on Friday, June 22, 2018 beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Reception at the Yorke Chapel to follow. Private family interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Flowers gratefully declined. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Princess Margaret Hospital or The Dorothy Ley Hospice would be sincerely appreciated.

Dear Lorraine, Stephen, Christina, and Karen.

Very sorry and sad to hear the news. Ted was not only a great client but also a friend that I could talk on other matters. He also offered great advice because of all his experience. We will truly miss him.

Knowing Ted in the most earliest years of my life has given me the most wonderful family memories ever, such as family events at the Muystra home. Weekends at the cottage. And just growing up with amazing happy loving people around you. Heaven should be honoured.
