In Celebration of

Teresa Conroy

April 20, 1930 -  April 4, 2025

Teresa Conroy (nee McNulty) was born on April 20, 1930 in Renbrack Co. Mayo Ireland. At 17 she moved to Birmingham England for work. It was there she met and married her beloved husband Frank (d. April 26, 2001). Teresa and Frank immigrated to Canada in the 1950s to begin a new life. Teresa was a devoted wife, mother to Anne (Bruce Duke) and Kevin (Nerine Poole), a loving Grandma to Jennifer and Sean.

Teresa spent over 20 years working at the Ontario Legislature where she served 2 speakers of the house at the provincial legislature. Teresa was kind and capable. She was a keen poker player, did the Toronto Star crossword regularly (in ink), and was always ready to line up and "dance a set" when Irish music began to play. Teresa is predeceased by her husband Frank and her 9 brothers and sisters. She will be missed by her children, grandchildren and her numerous nieces and nephews throughout North America, the UK and in her native Ireland.

A special thanks to all the staff at Kipling Acres where Teresa resided for 3.5 years. The loving care and compassion always shown to Teresa was a great comfort to our family.

In memory of Teresa, donation may be made to the Canadian Alzheimer's Society.

Of course! Here's a polished version of your message:

Even though we lived far apart, I always loved my Auntie Theresa. She was so much fun. I remember one Halloween when we arrived feom Chicago doe our cousin's wedding—she immediately took my brother out trick-or-treating because she didn’t want us to miss a moment. Her love for family was clear in everything she did. Her laugh was truly infectious. Our entire family adored her, and she will be deeply missed. Sending lots of love and heartfelt condolences to Anne, Kevin, and the extended family.

Anne, Kevin and Family,

I was deeply saddened to hear of your mom’s passing, and my heart aches for you during this incredibly difficult time. It’s hard to find the right words, but please know that I am here for you.

Your mom was such a special soul. I will forever cherish the memory of her warm Irish hospitality – the way she always had tea ready and a welcoming smile for anyone who entered her home. Her charming accent could light up any room, and she had a way of making everyone feel so loved. She truly was a remarkable woman, and her strength and independence after your dad passed were a testament to the incredible person she was.

As you mourn her loss, I wish you peace, knowing she is now reunited with your dad. I can only imagine the joy they are sharing now, listening to Irish music and dancing the Irish Jig......with a wee "nippy sweetie" in hand. I really hope the image of them re-united again brings you a sense of calm and solace in your grief.

With all my love and deepest sympathy, Judy and Family

Anne and Kevin, we are so sorry for your loss.

Your mum was such a lovely soul and had such quick wit, and always full of great stories. She was so gracious and loving with a gentle touch. I have wonderful memories of her from the trips back to Ireland and the trips to California, we are so blessed to have known her.

May she rest in peace. Roisin and family.
