In Celebration of

Teodor Lawryk

March 14, 1927 -  December 30, 2017

Loving Father to John and beloved "Pappa" to his wife Krystyna Popper, admitted to OTMH on the 29th of December, unexpected by peacefully died the next day, Saturday December 30th.

Born Ukrainian on March 14, 1927 in Lwow (formerly Poland), taken from his family as a young boy at the age of 15 during the WW II occupation of Europe, spent his early youth farming and doing physical labor in Germany, receiving compensation in food and board. After the liberation of Europe, not being able to return home to his family, emigrated to England where he met and married his former wife Olga. Four years after his son John was born, the family emigrated to Canada and lived in La Salle, Quebec, and then Brampton, Ontario.

The last year of his life as per his wishes he spent content in Oakville at the Vistamere Retirement Residence where he enjoyed the company of his fellow residents, and was talking at every occasion about how impressed he is with the food and all the culinary delicacies they served him there. Rather unimaginative subject for those of us who never went hungry.

He was loved, will be missed, and always remembered for his uncomplicated ways in life, wicked sense of humor and his love for his garden.

Until we meet again Dad.......
