In Celebration of

Taras Iwanchuk

February 2, 1977 -  January 7, 2023

We are devastated to announce that Taras Dmytro Iwanchuk passed away on January 7th, 2023. Born in Toronto, ON on February 2nd, 1977. Beloved son of Nestor and Vera and cherished brother of Tatyana. He was predeceased by his father in 2014 and godfather. He will be missed by his godmother, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family, his friends and hearts that he has touched. His wit, humour and charm delighted many.

From an early age he was a protector. He was so happy when his baby sister arrived. He loved the great outdoors. He would go to the cottage, camping, fishing and hunting with his friends as often as he could. When he was younger he enjoyed the experiences of CYM camp, baseball, archery, Ukrainian dancing to name a few.

He was creative, inventive and resourceful. He could fix nearly everything. He continuously expanded his skills. He was a computer expert and naturally understood the way things worked. Anything that needed repairs, he would do it - from roof repairs, appliances and furnaces to cars and technology. In his life’s journey he helped to build houses from the ground up, ratcheted up trees as an arborist, and drove everything from heavy machinery to trucks. He loved to give experiences with gifts from making crystals like bismuth to constructing puzzle boxes as gift wrapping. He absolutely loved teaching in the special way he did.

Taras is remembered by many as the friendly helping hand in service to others. He will be missed by many.

He lives on in our hearts and memories.

We love you, Taras. We will deeply miss you… especially your laugh.

In loving memory of Taras, donations may be made to the Canada-Ukraine Foundation at https://.canadahelps.org/en/dn/70605?v1=true
