In Celebration of

Tanner Kolody

April 25, 1998 -  May 23, 2020

It is with deep sadness that we mourn the loss of our son and brother, Tanner, who passed away tragically on Saturday May 23, 2020. Tanner was the cherished son of Dennis and Alison Kolody. Loving brother of Tyler and Tianna. Tanner will be fondly remembered by many members of his extended family and friends.

Survived by his grandmother, Betty Harry, Grandparents deceased (Arnold Harry, Peter & Harriet Kolody)
Many aunts and uncles including Martin Harry (Diane), Marylea Gowan (Al), Ron Kolody (Carol), Brian Kolody (Barb) Andrew Kolody (Andrea) & numerous loving cousins.

Tanner was charming, energetic and irrepressible. He brought joy and laughter to all, and could never be missed once he entered a room. Tanner would pick up a conversation with anyone he met and this resulted in a vast network of friends and acquired family members.

Full of life, laughter and love, Tanner motivated everyone around him to share in his adventures and to chase their own dreams. His favourite activities involved travelling, snowboarding and cottage life. Most recently, Tanner was following his ambition to become a real estate agent while also pursuing a degree in Automotive & Vehicle Engineering Technology.

Tanner lived every day to its fullest and helped those around him do the same just by being near him.
Anyone can dream, but few can really live their dream, and Tanner did so each day. He will live on through his organ donations.

For those who wish, donations may be made to Kids Help Phone and Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation (ICU). To assist with this, the donations tab on Tanner's online memorial will allow you to make a donation directly to either charity. For Kids Help Phone, you may choose to send an e-card to dennis.kolody@sympatico.ca. To advise the family that a donation was made, please leave your name in the Donations section under the Donations tab.

Should you wish to add a digital photo, you may do so in the Photos section of the memorial. Please submit photos using a .jpg format. (If your photo is saved as .jpeg, simply change the name of the file to .jpg by deleting the “e”).

Feel welcome to leave a memory of Tanner in the Guestbook section of the online memorial.

A celebration of life for Tanner will take place on a later date.

Never met a guy like Tanner before. Such a beautiful soul taken too young. I’ll never forget the amazing memories we shared together. Thank you for being a good example to those around you. You were the bright shining star in a dark sky, Tanner. That smile of yours will forever be the first thing I see when I think of you. It was my truly my honour to call you my friend..

We love you, we will surely miss you.. but we will NEVER forget you. Much love from the Fearon family.

One of the kindest and most selfless families I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Tia always spoke of Tanner with so much love and admiration. He truly is and always will be her best friend. The few encounters I was blessed with to share with Tanner, I was amazed at how friendly, compassionate and outgoing he was. Rest in Power beautiful boy. Our thoughts and prayers will forever be filled with your memories. Love you Tia from my family to yours, always here.
