Tadeuz "Ted" Barcik

January 6, 1924 -  August 27, 2017

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at age 93 years. Husband of 59 years to Laurette. Born in Laon, France. Proud Canadian. Father of Pierre (Elizabeth Howey), Claire Barcik (Doug Blackburn, formerly) and Rob (Nikki). Grandfather of Chloé, Jackson and Evan. Uncle to many nieces and nephews in Canada and France. Ted was a member of the French Resistance and later a professional soccer player in France. Avid gardener, landscape painter and furniture builder. Ted spent many years of dedicated service at Campbell Soup. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W. (between Kipling and Islington Aves.), on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 11:30 a.m., at Nativity of our Lord Church Catholic Church, 480 Rathburn Rd., Etobicoke. There will be a catered reception at the church immediately following the service. For those who wish, donations may be made to CRC Regent Park Community Food Centre: tcrc.ca.
