September 26, 1916 - July 31, 2017

Passed away peacefully at the age of 100 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Monday, July 31st, 2017. Beloved and devoted husband for 55 years of late Martha Gonsalves. Loving and faithful father of Yvonne (Lawrence Shenoy), Alan, Carolyn (Kenneth D'Souza), Jennifer (Ronnie Mendonsa), Bernadine (Aloysius Wicket) and Father Edwin Gonsalves. Devoted and caring grandfather of 15 grandchildren and one great grand-child. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Neweduk Chapel", 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (1 block east of Erin Mills Pkwy.) on Friday, August 4th from 3:00 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at St. Matthew's Church, 1150 Monks Passage, Oakville (at Nottinghill Gate) followed by Christian Burial at Assumption Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga. The family wishes to thank all the wonderful bishops, priests, religious, lay faithful for their prayers. Thanks also to the wonderful doctors, nurses and support staff at the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital for their support and care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Augustine’s Seminary, 2661 Kingston Road, Scarborough ON, M1M 1M3. May God bless all of you!

Our sincere sympathies to Yvonne, Jennifer, Carol, Rev. Father Edwin, Alan, Bernadene on the demise of the beloved father. He was a great father with strong faith in God. His love for rosary, Divine Mercy prayer saying with utmost faith has left us in awe. He loved Karwar and am sure uncle Cyprian is rejoicing the heavenly banquet...Our loss has been heaven's gain.
