In Celebration of

Suzanne Malazine Bright

October 23, 1934 -  November 10, 2019

It is with profound sadness that Suzanne’s family announces the passing of our dear wife and mother Suzanne Bright.
Suzanne was born October 23, 1934 in Bishop’s Falls, Newfoundland, the daughter of Jacob Harvey Smith and Virtue Maria Smith (nee Simmons), and departed this life on November 10, 2019 in Mississauga, Ontario.
Cherished, loving wife of James Edward Bright, they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary just a few months ago on September 4, 2019. Devoted, selfless mother of Carol (Mike) Dimond, Jim (Karen) Bright, Donna (Ed) Rood, Dan (Kristina) Bright, Julie (Ed) Petkovsek. Loving grandmother of Scott (Kelly), Julie, Byron (Erica), Russell, Samantha (Brad), Nicholas, Joshua, David, Brian, Amy. Great grandmother of Lyla, Haddon, Emmanuel, Timothy, Declan and Austin.
Suzanne is remembered by her family and all who knew her over her 85 years as a high-energy “can-do” person; she partnered with her husband Jim in business endeavours, all while lovingly raising a family of 5 children and being involved in the community -- we don’t know how she did it all. She was a member of Christ United Church since moving to Lorne Park in 1970, actively engaged in all of the activities of Hi-Neighbours and United Church Women (UCW) until her health made that difficult.
She will be sadly missed by us all.
Suzanne was predeceased by her brother Reg in 2004, and two brothers Thomas Harvey and Vernon Bruce that died in infancy; she has never forgotten them.
She is finally at peace. Bless her heart.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Turner and Porter 2180 Hurontario St, Mississauga. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Celebration of her Life will be held at Christ First United Church, 1700 Mazo Crescent, Mississauga on Thursday, November 21 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.

Uncle Jim and Family,
We were very sad to hear about Aunt Susie's passing. She was an amazing wonderful person. She was always so happy and full of life and always interested in everything we had to say or do. We enjoyed her visits to Newfoundland and having a laugh with her, sharing a good meal and maybe a dance or two. We will keep all those fond memories close to our hearts. She had a long, successful and very accomplished life and she will definitely be missed by all. Take care and God Bless!! Sending our love, The Bailey Family xoxo.
