In Celebration of
Susan Patricia Ott
January 7, 1967 -
August 8, 2016
Tragically, as the result of complications from a fall, we lost our beautiful and beloved Susan. Left to mourn is her devastated family: husband, Peter Clifford; parents, Joseph and Anne Ott (nee Cation); sisters, Rhonda Ott (Meirion Williams), Lenie Ott (Ian Morris), Karen Ott (Bryan Steele); cherished niece and nephews, Cerys, Bryn and Rhys Williams and Ronin Steele; stepson Alec Clifford; mother-in-law, Jill Clifford; the extended Ott, Cation and Clifford families; friends and colleagues.
Shocking her young parents by walking at the tender age of nine months, Susan was always one step ahead of everyone else. By turns quixotic and whimsical, stubborn and sensitive, her "infinite variety" charmed all who knew her. Health nut, fitness nut, and family wingnut, we all laughed harder when Susan was around. Susan's hallmark was her incredible sense of style, looking equally as fabulous in Versace as Value Village, and her creativity lead to a rewarding career as a hair and makeup artist.
Susan especially loved being one of four sisters, hanging out in cabin 1, her ShihPoo, Luci, rock-hard peaches, Mom's chicken paprikash, and family week on French River. In characteristic Susan-style, she left the party far too soon, leaving us all wanting more.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 4 – 7 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations may be made to Women's Own Centre (www.TGWHF.ca or 416-603-6278), the Jean Tweed Centre or a charity of your choice.
