March 10, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Steve Lee, who passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at the age of 83, surrounded by his loved ones.
Steve was born on November 7, 1942, in Sichuan, China, and grew up in Taipei, Taiwan. A dedicated student and accomplished scholar, he attended National Cheng Kung University, one of Taiwan’s top universities, before continuing his studies in the United States, where he earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering. He later made his home in Toronto, where he met his beloved wife, Maria, and together they raised two children whom he cherished deeply.
Steve was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a quiet, patient, and humble man whose gentle nature and warm smile left a lasting impression on those around him.
A devoted Catholic, Steve loved attending church and deepening his faith.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Maria; his daughter, Christine, and her partner Jean-Francois; and his son Daniel and his family, Jennifer and Lucas.
The family would like to thank the staff at Trillium Health Partners – Mississauga Hospital for their care and compassion.
Steve will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
