In Celebration of
Stephen Stefanoff
January 1, 1937 - December 22, 2025
With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Stephen Stefanoff, age 88, on December 22, 2025, in Mississauga, ON. Born in Montreal on Jan. 1, 1937, to the late Filaret and Eva Stefanoff, he spent most of his life in the Toronto/Mississauga area. Stephen enjoyed a long and fulfilling career with the Toronto Board of Education, teaching at the elementary and intermediate levels. In his leisure time, he was an avid reader, fisherman, photographer, stamp collector, and faithful fan of both the Toronto Blue Jays and Raptors.
Stephen was predeceased by his son, Phillip Stefanoff. He leaves behind his two daughters, Genya (Huyen) and Karen, and his grandsons Matthew, Jason, Nicholas and Gavin. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 17th at 11am at Turner and Porter, Neweduk Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga, Ontario. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Trillium Health Partners.
