In Celebration of

Stephen Lisle Ferguson

September 9, 1954 -  June 4, 2023

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Steve in Mississauga on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the age of 68. Beloved partner and soulmate to Flutra Bushi. Loving brother of Bob, Ian, Philip, and Annemarie. Loving uncle to all of his nieces and nephews; and an exceptional friend to all those who knew him.

Steve loved to travel, read, and spend time with his family, friends, and loved ones. He was always fun-loving, charming, and the life of the party wherever he went. Steve was a retired senior business executive with extensive international experience. He has dedicated many years of service to multiple volunteer and not-for-profit organizations. He was President of the Rotary Club of Mississauga where he resides. He was named a Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of his support to various local and international organizations.

For more information on visitation and funeral proceedings, please see below. The funeral will be live-streamed - please click on the live-stream link below.

The Family will be setting up a charity in Stephen's name. THE STEPHEN LISLE FERGUSON EDUCATION FUND. They hope you will be able to join them on September 09, 2023 (Stephen's Birthday) for a Celebration of Life. They hope you will be so kind as to donate to this charity at that time.

Steve, you will be greatly missed. Thank you for being an incredible mentor with steadfast morals and resolute values. You taught me so much about life, love and being the best version of myself for those around me. I always enjoyed our conversations and how you were so knowledgeable about any and every topic. I wish we could sit down and reminisce one last time. You will be in our memories forever. Love You!

Remembering Steve with much love. His support was discrete for me, but I always knew he would be there should I need advice or guidance. When visiting to Canada, Steve was most hospitable and even made the trip to meet me in Kitchener when I was coaching at an ice hockey tournament. He will be missed. X
