It is with great sadness Stephen Gilbert, 65, passed away on April 22, 2017 in Mississauga. He is survived by his loving sons Derek and Kyle; and his sister Gail Ferri.

Memorial donations in memory of Stephen may be made to a charity of choice.

It is with deep sadness to hear of Steve's passing, I had the pleasure of working with your father for 7 years in the Intermodal Department at Wheels International. Steve had a heart of gold and when he spoke of his sons all his problems would instantly go away. I can still hear us laughing during our stressful days at the office.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Dear Derek & Kyle. Your Dad has left this earth MUCH too early but he has left here on earth the most wonderful legacy he could, that being two wonderful mature loving sons that he was so very proud of each and every day of your lives. May his love and deep faith bring you comfort at this very difficult time My heartfelt sympathy to his sister Gail and her husband Fred whom he always spoke of so highly and with love. Good Morning.
I am sorry for your loss.

Steve used to work night shift as you might know. He used to call me to advise me of any problems but the funny part was Steve always wanted to know what my wife and I were eating for dinner. Sometimes he would call me out of the blue just to ask us. My wife used to say it's Steve calling why does he want to know what we are eating I said because Stevie loves food.

Stephen really was a nice man to work with I will miss him.
