Stella Kakoschke
November 30, 1922 - October 7, 2015
Passed away peacefully with family by her side at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Toronto, on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the age of 92. Born November 30, 1922, in Lodz, Poland, daughter of Else and Daniel Goltz. Predeceased by her beloved husband Celestin Eugen Kakoschke (1987). Loving mother of Vernon (Mella) and daughter Mona Frantzke. Proud grandmother of Theodora, Kristen, Lukas and Derek.
Stella maintained her grace and optimism through a journey growing up in Lodz, Poland, the hardships of WWII, post-war Germany and immigration to Toronto. Her enthusiasm for cultivating friends and devotion to family reflect a life of love and laughter, truly well-lived.
Stella always found enormous pride and joy in participating in the lives of her children and grandchildren and was an active member of the Martin Luther Church. Her trust in God was her life support.
Friends may call at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2379 Lakeshore Blvd. W., Toronto on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 3 p.m. until the time of the Service at 4 p.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 2 p.m. For those who wish, donations may be made to her beloved Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church.
