We are so sorry to hear of your mother's passing, but we know her long suffering is over and she can be at peace with your father in heaven.
We have memories forever of all the goodness and kindness she showed all of us.

Sophie was an elegant, proud and kind individual. She was a person of few words but what she said was always thoughtful and insightful. Her quick laugh ,her stoicism and her generous nature will always be remembered. Our deepest condolences to Peter and to all Sophie's Californian cousins.

RIP Sophie

Dear Peter,
so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom.
i loved your mom dearly, she was a great person, always generous and kind.
i used to visit her every day for a cup of tea while your dad was out in the garden.
we shared recipes and stories always sprinkled with warm laughter.
i still feel a pinch of sadness when i walk by the house and remember your parents.
sadness will pass but the warmth and love from your mom (and dad) will live on.
our deepest condolences
brian and sylvie

Dear Peter, I'm so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I lived next door to her when I was a child, and she and Julian were always so lovely to my sister and I (the red-headed twins on the other side of the semi-detached house). I remember how welcoming she was when we moved in; the Halloween packages she put together just for us; she and Julian showing my sister and I the tangle of plants on the dining room windowsill; coming over on Christmas morning for stories, cookies, and eggnog. My own grandparents lived far away, so she was a bit like having another grandma in town. Sophie left those who knew her with such fond memories.

Forever in my heart. I can still hear her wonderful laughter. May you find comfort Peter in your memories and knowing what a wonderful son you have always been to your Mom. Sincerely, Dawna Satov
