September 28, 1941 -  September 28, 2022

Passed away at Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, on her 81st birthday. Beloved wife of John for 42 years. Cherished aunt of Mary Anne Sheen and Patrick Browne (Liz). She was a “bonus grandmother” to her grand-nieces and nephews, Taylor Sheen and Kenzie and Owen Browne. Cherished sister of Mary-Sr. Raphael and the late Bill and Joe. Shirley’s family will always remember her kind heart and welcoming home, filled with love and excellent cooking and her amazing gardens. They will always think of her when hearing the theme music for “Murder She Wrote” and “Columbo,” her favourite shows. She will be lovingly remembered by all her family and many friends.

John would like to thank Albert and Kelly, Bev, Helmi, Juliette and Jerry, Mary Ann M, Ron, Sr. Veronica, Tom for all their support.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 2340 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. For those who wish, donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.

I am sorry for you loss. I worked with her for many years before she retired. I retired not long after her. I used to run into her at Cloverdale Mall the odd time (before Covid). Sometimes it seems like yesterday. I will pray for her and her extended family.
