Shirley was a kind and gentle person. Karen, myself and Shirley spent years tracking the history of our family together. We grew up together, neighbours in fact as my parent, uncle Frank, Aunt Norma and our grand parents lived side by side for a number of years before Shirley moved back to Toronto. God bless her and may she rest in peace.
I came to know Shirley a few years ago through a mutual friend. She had such a lovely disposition and we enjoyed connecting over conversations about cottage life. The group get togethers we shared with other friends will always be fondly remembered. My most sincere condolences to Linda, John, Sandra and families.
Shirley joined our Westway Probus Club in May of 2019 and soon became an active participant, making the decision to join the Management Team. Her kindness and warmth, along with her keen interests were a great asset.
Shirley will be remembered with great affection.
Shirley was like a sister to me, we always kept in contact and enjoyed debating with each other and solving the world problems. I will miss those conversations very much. She has had a long journey from diagnosis and travelled it with such courage and grace. Rest in peace cousin Shirl, I will miss you very much and I am thankful for our last conversation on your birthday.
My condolences to Linda, Sandra, John and their families, I know she treasured you all so very much.
Time to rest now Shirley with those who have passed before you. Love Janice
I met Shirley when she joined our Probus CLub and had many wonderful converstions with her mostly by phone due to Covid and then her illness. She was a wonderful asset to our club and such a delight to chat with even when so ill! I am so happy she was able to get into a Hospice for support for herself and her Family !
