Sheila Fernandez

January 26, 1931 -  June 12, 2016

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Sheila Fernandez in her home on June 12, 2016 at the age of 85. Survived by her husband, Jerome and her children Loretta (Keith), Cassandra and Bryan (Helen). Devoted Nana to her grandchildren, Bradley (Tiffany), Brett, Trevor and Rachel. Sister of Norman D’Cruz (Genevieve) of New York and predeceased by Mavis (Gary) Hogan, Steven (Anne) and Tony (Susan). She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and her large circle of friends. Sheila was happiest when she was playing bridge and spending time at the casino … making new friends and winning at roulette!!

We like to send our heart felt condolences to Jerry, Cassy Lorretta (Keith) and family on the said demise of Shiela. she was a very Kind Loving and helpful person. It was fun and I remember the days when she came to visit us in the past her talks stories and jokes light up the occassion She was very open at heart and her house was an open house for anybody and everybody no matter what age group you belong She was a very good entertainer. We would deeply miss her but deep down in our hearts she would always be there. Steven D'Souza and family.

Sincere condolences to Jerome and entire family. Will always remember Sheila as a vibrant and generous lady whose signature theme was 'have fun'! Sadly missed her since the 'great flood' which relocated her. A true lady from a wonderful by-gone era....may her soul rest in peace.

It is with great sadness that we learnt that Sheila passed away.

She & Jerry were dear friends of my parents Joe and Blanche Fernandes (PAN AM). She will always be remembered as a warm, affectionate, loving and very generous person.

Well travelled, witty and bright. She could regale you with all her stories and experiences.
