On Tuesday afternoon in a room full of love surrounded by his family Shawn’s spirit was released from his body after an incredible and admirable four and a half year battle with cancer at the age of 57. His strong spirit and tenacity provided him the strength to fight and still show the love to his family that we always felt.

Shawn will be dearly missed by his wife of 37 years, Becky; his wonderful children, Daniel (Judith) and Mel (Steve); and his beautiful grandchildren, Isabella, Martin, Zoey, and Rocco. Shawn was a loving brother to Carrie, Dustin, Phil, Dave, and Heather and was survived by his parents, Kenneth and Coral.

Shawn was born in Toronto and studied for his Bachelors of Science at U of T. It was there that he found his passion for the World Wide Web. Shawn developed such a knowledge of the internet that he made a career buying and selling domain names.

Shawn loved life and lived it to the fullest. He loved going to concerts, the beach, and spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, a great father, and an amazing grandad who adored his grandchildren.

We will still feel his strength and will carry his love and spirit with us for all the days of our lives.

A Visitation will take place at the Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel (1981 Dundas St W, Mississauga) on Friday, August 19th, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 p.m.

Shawn loved concerts and good music, so come in your favourite concert t-shirt. If you don’t have a favourite one, wear your favourite t-shirt. If you don’t have a favourite one of that, just come comfortably dressed.
