In Celebration of

Sergio Gonzalez

June 18, 1942 -  August 20, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sergio Jaime González on August 20, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on June 18, 1942, Sergio lived a life filled with courage, love, and unwavering devotion to his family.

In the late 1970s, Sergio immigrated to Canada with his beloved wife Josefina, determined to build a better life. Through hard work and vision, he became the proud founder and operator of Canadian Tours, where he rose to become a true leader in the inbound Motor Coach Tour Industry of Canada and the eastern United States. His company introduced countless visitors to the beauty of North America, but Sergio’s greatest pride was not in business—it was in the life he built for his family.

Sergio shared his love of travel with Josefina, his sons and daughters-in-law, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren, taking them around the globe and creating unforgettable memories. He dedicated himself fully to providing every comfort and opportunity for his family, ensuring that both his sons and grandchildren had the foundation, encouragement, and support to thrive in their adult lives.

Though a man of few words, when Sergio spoke, his words always carried depth and meaning. He will be remembered not only for his strength, generosity, and accomplishments, but also for the wisdom and love he quietly shared with those around him.

He leaves behind his loving wife Josefina, his two devoted sons and their wives, his seven grandchildren, and his two great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish his memory.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the many friends and colleagues who supported Sergio throughout his life, and to all who have reached out with love and kindness during this time of loss.

His journey in this world may be complete, but the love he gave and the life he built will endure forever.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel on Tuesday September 2, 2025 from 3 - 6 p.m.
