Passed away suddenly but peacefully on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen Whelan. Loving father of Jacinta Whelan. Dear son of the late Alexander and late Charlotte Whelan. Brother of the late Theresa Whelan. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Friday from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018 at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 2305 Bloor St. W.

Dear Jacinta,
Your Mom and Dad were always so kind to my parents (Pat and Hannah Browne). I remember both your parents riding their bikes over to our house and dropping in for a cup of tea. It was heartwarming to see you and Sean at my Mom's visitation last Jan. I wish I could see you tomorrow but we are away on holiday. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
