In Celebration of

Sandy Bacher

March 27, 1936 -  April 8, 2017

It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of our cherished mother and grandmother. Predeceased by her husband Robert, she is survived by her three children David (Ann), Kelly (Kevin) and Alan, her grandchildren Patrick, Susan, Sean, Katie, Mark and great grandson Wyatt. After Dad’s death Mom started a new life in a senior’s apartment. She embraced her new life, loving the view from her apartment and hanging out with her new friends. She loved sitting in the lobby knitting, watching the comings and goings, playing bingo and going on the casino trips. As per her wish Mom will have a visitation at the Turner & Porter “Neweduk-Erin Mills” Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (just east of Erin Mills Pkwy) on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 2-5 p.m. In memory of Sandra, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I got to know Sandy through the church services that St Francis of Assisi Anglican church holds at Heritage Glen. Sandy was such a warm and wonderful person always full of fun. She was one of the first to join in our Peace Service and Butterfly Release day. She and her friend Pat had a good laugh over the dancing stuffed dog they gave Father Jeff for Christmas in 2015. And her knitting of infant clothing and toys was so wonderful, I always liked to find her at the Heritage Glen and Eden United bazaars. We will keep Sandy's friends and family in our prayers at St Francis.
