In Celebration of

Sandra Edith Mayhew

May 31, 1948 -  February 7, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Sandra Edith Mayhew. She passed away peacefully in her 76 th year on February 7, 2025, surrounded by her family at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario.

Sandra was predeceased by her mother Marion Coveduck.

Sandra will be greatly missed by her loving family: her father Clarence Coveduck, brother Richard Coveduck, brother-in-law Terry Mayhew, nephew Todd Mayhew and niece Sherry Reid. Sandra was a devoted wife to James (54 years) and wonderful mother of Wendy (Chris) Cruickshank. She was a proud grandmother of Jameson & Zachary Cruickshank.

Sandra will be fondly remembered for her strong love of being with family. She enjoyed traveling, knitting and crafts. Listening to her favourite music played an integral role in her everyday life. Sandra loved losing herself in a great novel. Over the last few years, she loved attending her grandchildren’s events without fail. Sandra’s lovely and warm manner touched those that knew her.

Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter, Neweduk Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga, on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 1-3 p.m.

There will be a short celebration of life in the chapel at 3pm for those who would like to attend. Virtual link will be available a few days prior for those that would like to attend virtually.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Waldenstrom’s Foundation of Canada (WMFC) and would be greatly appreciated.

Our deepest condolences to Jim and the entire family for your loss. Though we only had a short time to know Sandy and Jim, we truly admired their relationship—the love, care, and devotion they showed to each other, even in the most difficult moments. It was a beautiful testament to their bond. May Sandy rest in peace, and may you find comfort in the memories you shared.

With sympathy,
Annalise Nguyen & Vincent Pham
