Sabina Newton
February 24, 1927 - February 5, 2014
Sabina passed away peacefully on February 5, 2014 after a sudden illness at the age of 87. She leaves her daughter Barbara, son in law Andrew, grandson Michael and extended family in Poland. She lived a good life, loved company and good humor. She was surrounded by a wonderful circle of friends, who visited and provided her with a sense of family. Special acknowledgement to Aleksandra her caregiver, who provided her with loving care. Special thanks to Dr. Unarket and the staff of Bridgepoint hospital, who aided in Sabina’s recovery and the staff of Wawel Villa for their care. Also, sincere thanks to the staff of the Emergency Room and nurses of 4E at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital, who provided her with compassionate care and comfort in the last days of her life. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of Jane subway from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2014 with vigil prayers at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church (277 Park Lawn Rd.) on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 10 a.m. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery. Sabina supported numerous charities and in lieu of flowers a donation in her name to Bridgepoint Health or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
