Ruzica "Rose" Djolanga

May 6, 1933 -  April 17, 2017

Peacefully passed away at St. Michael’s Hospital on Thursday April 13, 2017. Survived by her loving brothers Bruno (the late Ruzica), the late Srecko “Sergio” (Ana), and Ivan. Will be fondly remembered and missed by her nephew Steven, and grandnephew Sergio. Rose dedicated over 40 years of her life to volunteering at St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica. She herself, was an occupational therapist at St. Michael’s Hospital for over 35 years. A special thank you to all the doctors and staff at St. Michael Hospital for their compassionate care. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Yorke” Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., (at Jane & Bloor) on Wednesday, April 19 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica (65 Bond Street, Toronto.) on Thursday at 10 a.m. Rose will be buried in her beloved Croatia.

I had the pleasure to work with Rose at St Michel's Hospital from 1985 - 1992. We kept in touch through the pot luck dinner reunions at Mia's over the years.
We will miss you Rose.
